Practice flying
DMW > DMW
1.0 hours
October 1, 2003

Today, we started with a little slow flight. 30 degree banks with and without flaps at 1.2Vso. For some reason, these were more difficult to do than the first time I did them on June 5, 2003. I need more practice with these.

We also did flight by reference to instruments again. I really enjoyed this including the unusual attitude practice. My instructor would put the plane into a climbing or descending turn while I had my eyes closed and I needed to recover to straight and level when he told me to. The first time I did unusual attitudes without my view obstructed on September 28, I was quite nervous due to being able to see nothing but sky or the ground rushing at me. But, under the hood, it seemed to not be an issue.

We then did a GPS 34 approach and landing. That was really fun!
