to Ohio, our first stop.
Day 2 - September 2, 2000 - OH, IN, IL, MO, KA
We left Ohio at 5:50am. We travelled about 800 miles today. Traffic was considerably better than yesterday considering the holiday weekend. We drove through quite a few cities today. Tonight we are staying in Abilene, Kansas. We intend to make it to California by Monday, early afternoon. We'll see if that holds true.

of police were pulling people over today. We were lucky I guess.

Day 3 - September 3, 2000 - KA, CO, UT
We left Kansas at 6am CDT and continued on I-70 through the Rocky Mountains. The weather was mostly perfect except for some unexpected showers. Drove about 850 miles today. We also visited Arches Nat'l Park in Utah, before staying in Price, UT.

Day 4 - September 4, 2000 - UT, NV, CA
We left Price, Utah at 6am and it was awefully cold. The trip was the longest so far, 1000 miles with 17 hours of driving. But, we finally got to San Jose to visit with Kirk and Tracie.

Day 5 - September 5, 2000 - California
We took some time getting on the road this morning. Our thanks to Kirk and Tracie for letting us stay at their place last night. We had the chance to drive through San Francisco and then drive down CA Route 1. We are currently staying in Marina.
