First,
insert, or twist (in 2001 and up C5's), the air temperature sensor into the knee plate (if you have Dual Zone A/C installed in your C5).
Like so.
Then,
attach the air temperature sensor wiring harness (again if you have Dual Zone A/C installed). It should snap
into place.
Now,
slide the knee pad back towards its factory position.
Gently
pull the console panel away from the dash, allowing the knee plate to slide
up underneath it.
Continue
working the knee plate into place.
Until
the tab from the knee plate slides into the hole in the dash.
Then
give the driver's side of the knee plate a push, with the palm of your
hands, inward and upward.
Tuck
the rubber piece of the knee pad behind the steering column.
Then,
replace the air temperature sensor torx screw.
And
snap the air temperature sensor plate back into place.
Like
so.
Next,
pull the trunk release/fog lamp wiring harness from the dash.
Connect
the switch plate.
Replace the the torx screw.
And
snap the plate back into its factory position.
Like
so.
Then,
reattach the left side torx screw at the bottom of the knee plate.
There is a clip under the knee plate which the screw attaches to.
Be careful not to move this clip out of position while reattaching the
screw. Otherwise, it may move out of position and you'll need to
squeeze your left hand under the dash, to reposition the clip while starting
the screw with your right hand.
Then,
attach the last torx screw to the right side of the knee plate. The
same rules apply to the right side clip under the dash.
Be
sure to take all your tools and instructions out of your Corvette and vacuum
it clean.
I hope these instructions were helpful!
